The print and digital newsletter for donors of Baylor Scott & White Central Texas Foundation is produced three times per year and is mailed to around 4,000 households throughout Central Texas. Starlight newsletter was mailed to donors of Baylor Scott & White McLane Children's Medical Center. These two publications were replaced in 2019 by The Compass. My responsibilities included project management and creative direction of the 40 page magazine, and writing and creative direction of the newsletter.
CAMPAIGNS & APPEALS
Lorenzo's Letter to Santa
I initiated this campaign to help the children's hospital manage the annual influx of toy donations they receive during the holiday season. My responsibilities included writing and designing an annual letter to the "Santas" of our community in the voice of Lorenzo, the Child Life team's facility dog and unofficial mascot of the children's hospital to help communicate the hospital's needs and rules for donations to their generous supporters. I also built and managed the webpages for the campaign and worked with the Public Relations team and Social Media team to share the campaign with the wider public. From 2019 to 2022, this campaign raised more than $100,000 in monetary and gift-in-kind donations.
Power of Giving Campaign
From 2016 to 2018, this annual Baylor Scott & White employee giving campaign raised more than $4.4 million for Baylor Scott & White Central Texas Foundation. I worked closely with the Foundation's annual giving specialist to strategize, plan, and manage the logistics of the campaign. I was responsible for the campaign messaging, project management and script for the videos, and all writing and design for the various communication channels used to reach more than 20,000 employees.
Vote for Miracles
Vote for Miracles was a contest by Children's Miracle Network Hospitals in which hospitals would compete for the highest number of votes. The top five winners would receive funding. Baylor Scott & White McLane Children's Medical Center placed fourth, earning $10,000. I was responsible for our campaign strategy, and writing and designing flyers, emails, and intranet content.
